Jaisantri Temple is one of the most popular religious and historical spot in the city of Pilibhit. Constructed in 1858, this temple is now more than 150 years old. Though the construction of the temple has been spoiled due to non maintenance and other factors but still the leftover structure speaks of his excellence in form and beauty. It is indeed the best constructed temples of those days in the area. Situated in Awas Vikas Colony at a distance of few kilometers from railway station, it is the place of worship for hundreds and thousands of devotees from Pilibhit as well as from surrounding districts.

Celebrations in and around this temple are popular. Navratri is celebrated with much grandeur in this temple with prayers and beautification of the temple area. A fair is organised during festivals in the temple compound. It is the local belief that the temple was built after the famous Indian Sepoy Mutiny in 1857. There is a peepal tree in this area which is aged almost 200 years and which has witnessed the Indian Sepoy Mutiny and the dreadful death of sepoys who revolted against the British Forces. The temple is also constructed in the memory of these brave soldiers.

Apart from this religious and historical significance the temple has also witnessed the devastating and distressing flood of the year 2008 which has destroyed many prominent parts of the temple and many other small temples present in the same compound. However, management committee of the temple has taken up the matter and they are slowly working towards reconstructing the damaged parts of the temple so that it gains back its old beauty. But indeed it must be mentioned that a larger level restoration is needed to get back what it was years before.

The distance from Pilibhit Junction Railway Station is around 5 kms through Maal Godam Road or Station Road. Any local conveyance like a rickshaw may help with the travel to this particular tourist spot.
